The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel offers free WiFi, which worked flawlessly for us. Our double room had a small refrigerator. It was conveniently located right off US-131. We stayed while spending the weekend skiing at Bittersweet and Timber Ridge, which are just 20 minutes further north. Our room was pretty basic, but certainly adequate, considering the price.
It was a little hard to find when you exit the highway. You really need to turn in to the Goodwill store, and the hotel sits behind it.

A Dismal Stay with Multiple Issues
The parking lot was a mess, and the staff struggled to manage the chaos. Attempting to take a shower ended in frustration with no hot water. Despite my attempts to address these problems, the lack of resolution left me feeling uncomfortable and unhappy. My advice? Look elsewhere.

Hot breakfast for toast or waffles was a nice touch. The room of place was reasonably large with 2 beds. Location: the hotel was next to Michigan in October, Kalamazoo, and an excellent steak house next door. Popped in Finley's Grill & Smokehouse for shots before sleep, it was at a moderate distance from the venue.

The management staff were very attentive & accomodating. There were some problems with our first room. The manager/attendant behind the desk quickly & considerately resolved the issues, & we appreciated it. They also accomodate customers with pets. We also enjoyed the waffle maker. It started my father's day off on the right foot.
We would have enjoyed a few more breakfast cereal choices.

It was just an optimal selection for a short staycation in Kalamazoo with reasonable value. The bed was comfortable,. Make sure to confirm your room type upon check-in.

1. Friendly staff who accommodated our needs (extra pillows, bedding & towels). 2. Quick service. 3. Larger fridge in the room (this helped to make up for fewer choices at breakfast). 3. Microwave in the room. 4. Good air conditioner in the room.
1. Breakfast was okay (cereal, waffles, muffins, toast, bagels), but having some protein available (peanut butter, yogurt, hard boiled eggs) and fresh fruit (apples, oranges, bananas) would be nice. But, the refrigerator in the room helped to offset this. So, going to the grocery store right down the street was a small inconvenience when compared to the value of the hotel. 2. The carpets felt a little grimy.

Would recommend for a quick break
Clean room, convenient location, with free parking and free wi-fi, made my short stay quite pleasant, especially enjoying the continental breakfast every morning to fuel my day of exploring.
The hallways were somewhat dated and could use some attention.

The room they first gave us, has not been serviced properly -- beds are made but there's no towels, shampoo, and the toilet won't flush. The next room they gave us on the bottom floor has cobwebs and dead bugs in the ceiling in the bathroom and in the far corner of the room. Saturday, when we came back to our room around 9 pm., our room was still not serviced. We had to find someone to give us fresh towels -- no point making the bed. Sunday morning, someone decided to run some kind of loud machinery (lawn mower or leaf blower) right outside our window at 7:45 am.

It was a room, we didn't require much except accommodations to sleep.
The hotel was not well maintained. We had to switch rooms because the first room was obviously in use from someone else or had been used and not cleaned up. Then the room they gave us had a badly damaged screen and the window was left open -- in February, in Michigan, 25-degree weather. The air/heater unit struggled to warm the room. The refrigerator cycled on and off very loudly. The walls/rooms were paper thin and every noise could be heard. The coffee was lousy and the breakfast very basic. My son complained about the smell of the bed he used. Nevertheless, it was cheap.

The location is awesome, really close to the golf course. The hallways had a strong smell that was unpleasant. Room was cozy though.

It was close to the campus of Western Michigan University.
Lack of towels. There was only one set, in a double room. On large bath towel was torn-all towels were very worn. The placed reeked of cigarette smoke, also people smoking right by the doors and I had to walk through it-GROSS! Loud shouting in the hallways after 9:00pm - Really? If people can't behave throw them out.
